Election campaigns under way to fill Macra na Feirme posts

THE race is on to find the successor to Catherine Buckley as national president of Macra na Feirme.

Her two-year term of office ends later this year, with the result that an election campaign to fill the position and those of regional vice presidents is now under way.

Nominations for all posts will close on March 4. Ballot papers will be issued on March 18 and counting of the votes and declaration of the results will take place on April 8.
