€17m Cork Co-op Marts livestock mart and conference centre opens

A NEW €17 million state-of-the-art livestock mart and conference centre, developed by Cork Co-op Marts in Corrin Business Park, Fermoy, was officially opened yesterday.

Cork Marts chairman Dermot O’Connell said it is the biggest single investment in the history of the co-op. It reflects the long-term commitment in its core business in providing modern trading facilities to its customers.

Mr O’Connell said the society, founded in 1956, is committed to providing the best possible service to farmers who sell their livestock through its marts.
