Royal Dutch Shell, Dong Energy and Scottish Power have cancelled a joint British wind-energy project, the Sunday Times said.

The companies abandoned their £800 million Cirrus Array project, the report said, citing a Shell statement. The focus for new projects will be in North America, the newspaper said.

NYSE Euronext talks end

Frankfurt: Deutsche Boerse, which runs the Frankfurt stock exchange, said talks with NYSE Euronext, operator of the world’s largest stock market, have “now ended without any conclusion”.

“Deutsche Boerse group continually evaluates a number of options for all business in order to increase its value,” the exchange said.

“This naturally includes regular contact with various potential partners, one of which may have been the NYSE.

“If these talks indeed took place, then they ended without any conclusion.”
