Elan names Paya as new president

ELAN has named Carlos V Paya as its new president.

Paya joins the Irish-American drug firm from US pharma giant, Eli Lilly and will be based in Elan’s San Francisco base, where he will be responsible for leading the company’s scientific, clinical and medical initiatives.

He will also share Elan’s corporate and business development with the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, Shane Cooke.
