ROYAL MAIL, Britain’s state-run postal service, plans to offer current accounts at post offices for the first time, the Financial Times has reported.

Talks are reportedly taking place between the Post Office and Bank of Ireland, which already provides savings accounts for the British postal service, to offer current accounts as well.

British government ministers are backing the proposal, which they believe could help to revive the ailing postal network.
