Entrepreneur award for Camara

COMPUTER collection firm Camara was declared the overall winner of the 2008 David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Award yesterday.

Camara turns the charity-based activity of collecting and donating surplus computers into a business model for poor emerging economies.

This is the sixth year of the awards.

They focus on emerging enterprises and incorporate the business, arts and social sectors.
