Pan Andean gains 17% in trading

PAN ANDEAN RESOURCES PLC, the Irish oil and natural-gas explorer operating in Bolivia and the US, jumped the most in more than two years in London trading after finding gas at its Vieman 1 site in Texas.

Pan Andean gained 1.5 pence, or 17%, to 10.25 pence.

It was the biggest advance since April 2006, valuing the Dublin-based company at £12.2 million (€15.1m).
