Multi-use €6m pavilion

A €6 MILLION multi-purpose pavilion stand at Cork Racecourse Mallow will be used not only for racing fans but also for non-racing activities.

Racecourse chairman Joe Walsh, the former agriculture minister, said local sports clubs, community organisations and other bodies will have the opportunity of using the state of the art facilities.

“There are 20 race days in Mallow each year. For all the other days and nights and weekends we want to make the pavilion available to the local community and various activities including weddings, social gatherings, conferences and exhibitions,” he said.
