AER ARANN yesterday relaunched its daily return flights from Ireland West Airport Knock to Dublin. The new Public Service Obligation (PSO) service will offer an early morning flight to Dublin with an evening return, allowing for a full business day in the capital.

Speaking at Ireland West Knock having arrived on the first evening flight from Dublin, Aer Arann Commercial Director Fergal Barry expressed the airline’s delight with the resumption of the PSO route to Dublin.

“When we took over this route three years ago we worked to build it up and as a consequence we developed a very loyal customer base in the area”, said Mr Barry.

“Naturally therefore we were very disappointed not to be awarded the route in the recent Government tender, but we are delighted that as the second ranked bidder in the tender process we have now been awarded the route and we aim to re-establish ourselves quickly by offering a quality service and low fares”, he continued.
