Company comes out of receivership

CISTÍ GUGAN BARRA, the west Cork company which owns the Katie’s Cakes brand, is to successfully come out of examinership next Tuesday after securing a long-term investor to ensure the company can continue trading for the long-term.

The company, formed in 1989, was placed under court protection at the beginning of April after continuing to encounter troubles with “historical liabilities”.
