AIB endured another miserable day falling 34c to €10.37, Bank of Ireland tapped on 2c to €6.58, Anglo Irish Bank shed 10c to €6.90. Irish Life & Permanent gained 45c to €9.20 even after the company said it expects pre-tax profits for the full-year 2008 to be down by “mid to high single digits” from the record €590m in 2007.

CRH gained 75c to €18.90, Grafton fell 7c to €4.36 and Kingspan fell 3c to €6.50. Elan was up 74c at €19.84. Ryanair dipped 12c to €3.06. C&C plunged 39c to €4.45.
