All-island farm safety conference

THE first all-island farm safety conference will be officially opened in Monaghan today by Labour Affairs Minister Billy Kelleher.

BBC broadcaster Karen Patterson will preside at the conference organised by the Health and Safety Authority, Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland and the Farm Safety Partnership.

Papers will be presented on the safety of elderly farmers, Swedish farm safety practice, livestock safety and other issues.
