Grainger new Ploughing president

THE new president of the National Ploughing Association is James Grainger, Naas, Co Kildare, who was elected to the post at the annual general meeting. He succeeds the late Gerry Baker, Trim, Co Meath.

Edmond Hally, Farrenkendry, New Inn, Co Tipperary, is the new NPA chairman in succession to Michael Mahon, Blueball, Tullamore, who served for five years and has been appointed assistant managing director.

PJ Lynam (Westmeath) is a new vice president. Two new directors were also appointed — John Meehan, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co Clare and Harry Mallon of Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
