Bank of Ireland rebound lifts market

THE ISEQ finished the week at 5,626.15, up 48.03 points as the ongoing rebound of Bank of Ireland and a strong performance from Kerry shares eased the Dublin market marginally into positive territory.

Bank of Ireland moved up 28c to €7.03, AIB dipped 4c to €11.21, Anglo Irish Bank fell away by 18c to €6.95 while Irish Life & Permanent gained 12c to €9.52. The number of workers employed in the construction industry slumped by 13.8pc in April compared to the same month last year.

CRH gained 30c to €20.05 and Grafton 15c to €4.64.
