As a result of spiralling fuel costs, they are demanding proper rates for their work. If this doesn’t happen they will impose fuel surcharges on customers.

The Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA) also said unlicensed operators working outside the Department of Transport vehicle and safety rules will be named and shamed. Those using such operators will be advised of the risks to their business and the general public.
