IHFA appoints Whelan as chairman

THE new chairman of the Irish Holstein Friesian Association (IHFA) is Richard Whelan, Towlaght, Clonard, Enfield, Co Meath.

A Dublin man, he was breed development officer up to now, and takes over the IHFA as it prepares to host the World Holstein Congress in Killarney later this year.

Mr Whelan, who is show co-ordinator for the National Spring Fair, has won numerous awards for his Lumville herd.
