Aminex rises on good gas results

AMINEX, the Irish oil and gas explorer with operations in Africa, rose the most in almost seven weeks in trading yesterday after it announced excellent test results at a well in Tanzania.

Aminex rose 3.5 cents, or 11%, to 34.5 cents after the Dublin-based company said results show the Killiwani North-1 well has a gas flow rate equivalent to 6,700 barrels of oil a day. The test also show no hydrogen sulfide or carbon dioxide impurities, it said.
