Murray honoured for contribution

A FORMER chairman of Tipperary Co-op was honoured yesterday for his contribution to the cooperative movement.

Seán Murray was presented with the Plunkett award for co-operative endeavour by the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS), the co-ops’ national umbrella body.

ICOS president Padraig Gibbons, who made the presentation, said Seán Murray has for more than 40 years promoted the cooperative ethos.
