TEAGASC students are now embracing new technology in pursuing their education through an online learning environment.

This was disclosed at the presentation of a new Fujitsu-Siemens laptop computer to each of the top five students attending the Teagasc eCollege at Kinsealy, Dublin, in 2007.

Professor Gerry Boyle, Director of Teagasc, made the presentations to Anne Harrington, Jigginstown, Naas, Co Kildare; Padraig Glynn, Cappahuse, Ballydangan, Athlone, Co Roscommon; Gerard O’Brien, Loughatalia, Midleton, Co Cork; Noel Finnegan, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, and James Merrick, Shean, Edenderry, Co Offaly.
