Average gain of 1c/kg as upward trend in beef prices maintained

Average gain of 1c/kg as upward trend in beef prices maintained

Donegal Meats paying 355c/kg (127p/lb) for U grade bullocks has set a new peak for bullocks, while Kepak (Clonee) maintained their lead for U grade heifers at 356c/kg (127p/lb).

Movement in R grade prices has been marginal, but gains of up to 4c/kg in the top price paid for O grade bullocks and 2c/kg in the highest for O grade heifers were achieved, indicating that some factories are conceding improved direct deals for R/O stock which benefits the poorer grade animals.
