THE headline on yesterday’s article entitled “Bank of Scotland in €15bn rights issue” was incorrect.

The article was in fact reporting on a rights issue by Royal Bank of Scotland plc, which is a separate company and has no connection to Bank of Scotland. Bank of Scotland, which is part of HBOS, has no connection to the article or its contents.
