Grants to enhance woodlands

GRANT levels for certain elements of the NeighbourWood Scheme and the Native Woodland Scheme have been announced by Forestry Minister Mary Wallace.

The NeighbourWood Scheme aims to bring communities and woodlands together in partnership by helping local authorities and others to create “close-to-home” woodland amenities for people to use and enjoy.

And the purpose of the Native Woodland Scheme is to provide landowners with resources to protect existing native woodlands and develop new ones.
