Market closes up after volatile day

YESTERDAY was a mixed day for the Dublin market, the index was as much as 150 points ahead during morning trading, only to slip back to more modest gains in the afternoon.

The ISEQ closed up 0.73 points in positive territory at 6,115.04.

A bad day for the construction sector was evidenced by a 5c drop for CRH to €24.05. Kingspan fell 30c to €7.90. Grafton Group added 3c to €5.55 and McInerney Holdings tacked on 1.5c to €1.115.
