Aminex stops drilling in Egypt

AMINEX, an Irish oil and gas explorer with operations in Africa, said it will stop drilling a well in Egypt because the quantity of natural gas found isn’t commercial.

Malak-1 was the first of a three-well exploration program in Aminex’s West Esh el-Mellahah onshore concession, near the Gulf of Suez in eastern Egypt, the Dublin-based company said yesterday.
