Ticket Text launches mobile phone services in Ireland

TICKET TEXT, a Dublin-based technology company that provides a mobile event ticketing service, has launched its services in Ireland.

Customers of Ticket Text will receive their tickets as unique barcodes sent via a text message to their mobile phone.

Customers then take their phone to the relevant venue and then scan the barcode to gain admittance.

Ticket Text’s chief executive Mark McLaughlin said Ireland was the first place the company identified a demand for an alternative ticketing provider.

Ticket Text is backed by a collection of entertainment companies and individuals in Europe.
