O’Brien increases Independent stake

IRISH billionaire Denis O’Brien increased his stake in Independent News & Media to 21.2% yesterday.

O’Brien now controls 167.3 million shares, he said in a Regulatory News Service statement.

On March 10, O’Brien said he increased his stake in the publisher to 20.2%.
