Agri Aware board’s five additions

FIVE new members have taken their seats on the board of Agri Aware, the farming and food educational body set up in 1996 to highlight the importance of agriculture.

The new members are Shelia Nunan, assistant general secretary, Irish National Teachers’ Organisation; Anna Marie McHugh, press executive, National Ploughing Association; James Gallagher, Connacht Gold Co-op; Jer Bergin, Irish Farmers’ Association, and Peter Byrne, chief executive, Farm Relief Services Network. Kieran O’Connor, Glanbia, has been re-elected.

Agri Aware chairman Máiréad Lavery said educational work on behalf of the farming and food industry is going from strength to strength.
