Kostal redundancy packages agreed

SEVERANCE terms of 4.5 weeks’ pay per year of service, plus statutory entitlement, have been agreed for up to 50 redundancies at Kostal in Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick.

Industrial Relations News reports that the package being offered is for voluntary redundancies among “indirect” workers, including technicians, supervisors, clerical staff, quality auditors and materials handlers.

The redundancies are part of an overall restructuring, which is planned to bring the total number of workers from about 800 to 700.
