Farmers’ market event launched

ALL farmers’ markets north and south are being invited to showcase their local produce in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, on June 28 and 29 at the IFA/Enniscorthy Town Council All Ireland Farmers’ Market Competition.

The competition will have a prize fund of €5,000 for four regional winners and an overall national winner.

Wexford IFA chairman John Fitzgerald said strong emphasis will be placed on the fact that each stand will display local products of the highest quality. Excellence in presentation of value added farm produce will be rewarded.
