UL engineering post filled

LERO, the Irish Software Engineering Centre based at the University of Limerick, has announced the appointment of Professor Mike Hinchey as co-director and Professor of Software Engineering at UL. He takes up his appointment on June 1.

Until last year, Prof Hinchey was director of the Software Engineering Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland. He remains as a consultant to NASA until the end of 2008. He is currently professor of computer science and director of the graduate programme, Loyola College in Maryland.
