Mining company to explore further

LUNDIN MINING, the Canadian/Swedish metals exploration company, is to continue looking at its additional Irish-based prospects this year, other than just its flagship Irish asset — the Co Kilkenny-based Galmoy zinc and lead mine.

The company said that it would be continuing to drill at its Keel zinc and lead property in Co Longford and its west Limerick mine.

In publishing its fourth quarter financial results yesterday, Lundin said significant mineralisation had been found in Keel.
