Bears win out for second day

A SPIKE in global oil prices, the continued weakness of the Dollar and more losses for the banking stocks dragged the Dublin market lower for a second consecutive day.

The ISEQ index slipped 156.19 points to close at 6,519.12.

The financial sector had another dismal day with three of the four principals losing ground. AIB and Bank of Ireland shed 12c and 23.5c to come in at €13.78 and €9.56 respectively.
