Locals welcome Tesco opening

THE opening of Ireland’s newest Tesco store in Kilrush today heralds the beginning of a new chapter for the economy of west Clare, according to Tony Killeen, Minister of State.

The Clare TD said the development would bring an estimated €2.5m into the local economy on wages earned by its 100 employees.
