Tullow linkup with Polish gas giant

POLAND’S natural gas monopoly Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo has won a contract to drill in Uganda from Tullow Oil.

A subsidiary of the Polish company will drill near Lake Edward on Uganda's border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Warsaw-based company said.

Tullow Oil spokesman Chris Perry confirmed the agreement in London yesterday, declining to disclose the value of the contract.
