Iona trading rises on Irish market

IONA TECHNOLOGIES PLC rose the most in a week in Dublin trading on speculation the Irish maker of software to help companies integrate networks may be a takeover target.

Iona added 21 cents, or 10%, to €2.23 in Dublin, the biggest gain since January 24.

A potential buyer may have made informal, preliminary contact, the Sunday Business Post reported, citing speculation by unidentified people.
