Financials lead market decline

The ISEQ Index closed in negative territory yesterday as the financials weighed heavily on the market.

The Dublin Exchange shed 91.4 points to close the session at 6,664.48.

The banking sector suffered as AIB fell 38c to €14.77 and Bank of Ireland dropped 20c to 9.81. Anglo Irish shed 13c to €9.40 while Irish Life & Permanent slipped 42c to €10.70.
