Energia secures €1.7m CEMEX deal

BUILDING solutions firm, CEMEX Ireland has awarded the electricity supply rights for 48 sites across the island of Ireland to electricity provider Energia, in a three year deal worth over €1.7m.

CEMEX said the all-island deal is an important element in its commitment towards the use of green energy and represents an annual reduction of over 9,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

It said this is the equivalent of taking 2,100 average sized cars off the road each year.
