Island to focus on Dutch and Irish oil

IRISH exploration company, Island Oil & Gas said yesterday its main focus this year will be on developing its assets in Holland — the Amstel Oil Field — and off the Irish coast at Schull and the Old Head of Kinsale.

The company is aiming for first production results by the fourth quarter of next year and is also planning a 3D seismic programme over its highly prospective Killala and Slyne prospects in the Atlantic Margin off the Irish coast.
