Adults confident despite volatility
Conducted by Standard Life, the survey shows that adults felt more financially secure in December than they did in September.
“It would appear that the recent volatility in financial markets does not seem to be affecting how people feel about their financial security,” said Michael Leahy, chief executive of Standard Life.
“The strength of the employment market is probably having a greater impact on how people feel day to day. Certainly job security would typically be a major contributor to financial confidence.”
