Market stabilises after big losses

THE Dublin market stabilised somewhat yesterday after Wednesday’s substantial losses.

The index continued to fall but by a relatively minor 42.15 points to finish below the 7,000 mark at 6,981.98.

AIB gained 10.5c to €14.48. Rival Bank of Ireland also tacked on 10c to €9.93.
