AIRLINES across Europe have been given four months to stop misleading customers on their ticket sales websites or face closure.

This warning came yesterday from the EU’s consumer chief Meglena Kuneva who said airlines and the owners of the other travel websites need to “get their act together.”

The order followed the publication of results from an investigation into misleading advertising and unfair practices on airline ticket selling websites across the 27-member bloc and Norway.
