Aer Lingus to scrap Dublin-Dubai route

AER LINGUS has confirmed that it is to scrap its Dublin-Dubai service in favour of focusing on its long-haul efforts in the North American market.

“Due to demand for both existing and new US destinations in the busy summer season, all long-haul capacity has been re-deployed to the US resulting in the suspension of the Dubai service from the end of March,” the airline said.

Aer Lingus announced Washington DC, Orlando and San Francisco as its three new US gateways, earlier this year, as part of the open skies arrangement.
