Dublin Exchange in negative territory

THE Dublin Exchange closed in negative territory with the financial stocks leading the way. The ISEQ finished 101 points lower at 7,879.

Financial heavyweight AIB dipped 17c to 16.80. Bank of Ireland fell 21c lower at 12.18. Anglo Irish and Irish Life and Permanent were 40c and 17c weaker to 12.35 and 15.11 respectively.

Construction giant CRH was 49c worse off at 26.40.
