Plant hire firm buys €1m crane

MUNSTER’S leading crane hire firm, William O’Brien Plant Hire has taken delivery of a €1 million mobile self-erecting crane, the first and only one of its kind based in Ireland and Britain.

The new crane, according to the company, is set to revolutionise construction projects in Ireland by providing greater access and flexibility.

This week the firm’s managing director, William O’Brien jnr, acquired 100% ownership of William O’Brien Plant Hire.

Murray Consultants, a PR firm acting for Mr O’Brien jnr confirmed yesterday that the buyout valued the business at €8.7m net of debt, with an enterprise value of over €15m.
