FAILTE Ireland’s top man in Northern Ireland is standing down.

Trevor Caughey is leaving the Belfast office after heading up sales, marketing and promotional campaigns which now generate 600,000 staying visits a year from north of the Border.

He said: “It is the domestic and the Northern Ireland customer who continues to provide the bedrock for the development of Irish tourism, and we must ensure we pamper them by continuing to offer the convenience of travel and quality facilities.”
