Survey shows farmers reap what they sow with chat-up lines

THE chat-up lines used by farmers as they try to woo the girl of their dreams were the subject of survey results revealed by Macra na Feirme at the National Ploughing Championships at Annaharvey, Tullamore, Co Offaly, yesterday.

An online survey, conducted in the run-up to the event dealt with the dating scene and whether or not it was difficult for farmers to meet a special someone.

The results showed that 54% of those surveyed said they had no problem meeting potential partners.
