Entrants attracted to organic sector

THE improved financial supports now in place for the organic sector should act as a further encouragement to attracting new entrants, Food Minister Trevor Sargent has predicted.

Chairman of the National Steering Group for the Organic Sector John Duggan presented him with its fourth annual report.

Mr Sargent said he was encouraged by the progress made since the group was established and he complimented the group members for their commitment.
