Profit at Star titles rises to €5.83m

PROFITS at the Irish Daily and Sunday Star have increased by 26% in 2006 to €5.83 million.

According to accounts just filed at the Companies Registration Office the papers increased their turnover buy 7% to €43.1m.

The Irish Daily Star and Daily Star Sunday are owned by Independent News & Media and Express Newspapers (the publishers of the Daily Express).
