Seminar to discuss rising feed costs

THE impact of rising feed costs on farming will be discussed at a seminar which the Irish Examiner will stage at the national ploughing championships at Annaharvey, Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Thursday next.

A panel of experts will discuss whether Irish livestock farmers can afford grain with prices soaring worldwide due to a combination of factors.

The issue of how the agricultural industry can cope with fast-changing food and global trends will then be opened to questions from the floor with the RTÉ broadcaster Damian O’Reilly presiding.
