Intel buys gaming firm Havok

INTEL has agreed to purchase Havok, a maker of software for video-game developers.

The acquisition will help animators and game developers take advantage of Intel technology, the company said yesterday. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Havok’s software was used in films including The Matrix and Troy.
